What if you could rest away from your loved one and know they were safe?
Being a caregiver for a loved one with dementia is a full-time responsibility. It is also exhausting.
You deserve time to rest, recharge, and take care of your own health
Breathing Space is Alzheimers Coachella Valley’s scholarship program that helps family caregivers hire a temporary licensed caregiver so they can take much needed time off while knowing their loved one is safe and supported.
HOW BREATHING SPACE WORKS
Caregivers may apply for up to $500 per month for three months
Scholarships are re-evaluated every 90 days
Funds are paid directly to:
Qualified professional in-home care providers, or Licensed care facilities
Scholarships are contingent on available funds
This program is designed to give caregivers real, practical relief so they can run errands, rest, attend their own appointments, or simply breathe without worrying.
Short-term respite opportunities that offer caregivers time to rest and recharge while their loved one participates in supervised programming.
